Fruit & Veg this week update this week.
22 February 2017
Rising temperatures, and some forecast rain (after a proper winter chill down) are providing great planting conditions and are making for optimistic farmers / growers so far for the year ahead!
This week we are short on endive lettuce and radishes, so be quick if you want some.
We have the first loose cherry tomatoes in from the Isle of Wight, they are always very popular - and the hydroponically grown cucumbers & tomatoes from Kent are always good quality.
Watercress will probably re-start next week, and Wild Garlic will be later than usual (because of the colder winter) - it is just starting to poke through, so will be at least 2 weeks away.
Otherwise, Chard, Spinach, Kale are all in good supply as well.
