Perfect early summer conditions mean that veg is coming in droves, which ultimately means better prices for you.

San Mozano tomatoes, calabrese broccoli, round tomatoes are all well down in price this week, as are broad beans - if your idea of heaven is sitting outside, shelling beans from their comfy pods, then the Broad Bean 'Marathon' option is for you - 3kg for just £6! And 'YES' is the answer to the question, 'do they freeze well?' - though it is best to blanche them first.

We have the first primo cabbages in this week - they are a good early season cabbage -  ideal for eating raw in salads  (why not try our coleslaw veg bundle?), or for cooking (simmer for 6 mins, and then serve with butter & thyme - 3 thyme sprigs for just 19p this week!). 

We also have the first stripy aubergines in this week.
