Final Plums, First Sloes

19 September 2017

As we near the September equinox, plums are on their way out and sloes are on their way in! To end plum season, we have a nice marjorie seedling variety. For some recipe ideas, try out the Plum and Orange Crumble. The tangy citrus will pair nicely with the sweet plums and make for a nice sweet dish to kick off your autumn! Tight on time? Make this new and easy plum tart recipe!

If you are already stressing about the Christmas season, we have the first in wild sloes in this week.  There is nothing better than a homemade gift, so get started now and make sloe gin—it’s a three month process so you’re just in time! It may take a while, but it requires minimum effort. Klaxon Alert: Do not eat these sloes raw!
