Partridge, Mallard, Game Pies & Pigeon Breasts
03 September 2014
The trickle of game turns into a good-sized steam this week with the arrival of the first partridge & Mallard. The partridge is a similar sized bird to the grouse or woodpigeon, but is altogether lighter and more delicately flavoured, much closer to guinea fowl or pheasant.
A bird will feed one person, and is easy to preare - just 30 mins in the oven, and at this time of year, you have a super range of veg to choose from to accompany it!
And If you dont want the faff of a whole bird, then we have packs of woodpigeon breasts (x6) for you,
and if arent even prepared to cook, then we have venison & game pies for you, that you simply stick in the oven!
