We have the first of the Grouse in this week- that coveted, exclusive & delicious wild bird from the Northern British Moors.
Their diet is predomininantely based on the heather growing on the moors that gives them their unique taste.
We are offering them at 979p per bird, whcih we hope is very good value. For a bird that is much the same size as a Woodpigeon, they are not cheap in any way.
But, if you want to trek up to Scotland and shoot them, then each one will probably cost you around 10 times that price.
Measured in this way, prepared grouse are about the best value game bird you will buy!
