Our mackerel comes from sustainably managed stock and is fished by trawlers using large nets that are set around schools of moving fish between mid November to mid April when the fish is at it's best in terms of fat content. The fishing boats follow the migration of the mackerel from the north of Scotland to the west of Ireland.
