We have new season pheasant eggs in this week. April / May / June is the time for alternative eggs - and so we are offering Pheasant eggs. They are about half the size of a chicken egg, but have a deep yellow yolk and are lovely soft / hard boiled - here is a good article on them.
How ethical it is to consume wild birds' eggs is a valid question to ask - especially for gull's eggs. These pheasant eggs are from reared birds, and so hopefully we avoid this issue.
