About us

Farm Direct is a weekly delivery service bringing fresh, seasonal food direct from British farms to Londoners.

Every week we source from over 150 small-scale UK farms and food producers – with an emphasis on agroecological farming practices that work in harmony with nature, protect soils, and help tackle climate change.

Our service runs Thursday through Saturday morning, with up to three delivery slots depending on your postcode. Order by 2am for a same-morning delivery.

We’re based at Unit 29, Uplands B Business Park, Blackhorse Lane, London, E17 5QJ

Why use Farm Direct?

If you’re looking for more than a standard veg box scheme, Farm Direct might be just what you’re after:

  • Supporting small-scale British farming – Every order helps sustain UK farmers and producers, strengthening national food security.

  • Better for the planet – By eating seasonally and locally, and by shifting diets toward more plant-based options, we can cut our carbon footprint together.

Who we are

Farm direct organic farm food shop was born in Islington 2009, and evolved via Tottenham to Blackhorse Road  where we now operate out of a good size shed with a large fridge.

Farm Direct started in Islington in 2009, moved through Tottenham, and now operates from our hub in Blackhorse Road.

We’re a small, hardworking team – 6–7 pickers, 8 drivers, one tech wizard (Dave), and a wide network of growers and producers – all working together to get delicious British seasonal food onto Londoners’ tables.

We aim to keep things simple: no frills, just good food, fairly priced, and accessible to as many people as possible.

In our own small way, we hope to contribute to a better food system – one that supports farmers, nourishes people, and helps address the urgent challenges of climate change.

We’re always on the lookout for new and exciting producers, especially those championing sustainable, plant-forward British food. Being London-based, we’re lucky to be at the heart of a vibrant and innovative food community.
