Penne pasta originates in Genoa, a region in Northern Italy. They are a classic well-known pasta shape, created to replicate the shape of a quill pen.

This popular shape is widely available in its dried form, but have you tried our fresh egg Penne? Say goodbye to dry pasta, and say hello to the elevated, artisanal Italian experience! This diagonal cut shape is made using a combination of premium quality Italian durum wheat and ’00’ flour, in addition to a high egg content (30%) for the best taste and texture. Penne is a very versatile pasta shape which can be cooked and served in many ways. Traditionally boiled and served with a rich sauce and a sprinkle of Parmigiano Reggiano. We encourage you to get imaginative and make your own creations, whether it’s a piping hot pasta bake or a cold pasta salad.
