Steven Childerhouse runs Great Grove Poultry: a traditional family run farm, based in Attleborough, Norfolk. All of their Norfolk Turkeys and Geese are free to roam around their 35 acres of Norfolk woodland and grassland enhancing a stress free environment.
Using an aged old method of farming he allows his traditional Norfolk Turkey and Geese plenty of time to grow to maturity without using any growth promoters or antibiotics, giving a far superior quality of bird with natural gamey flavours.
Everything is processed on the farm, graded and hung in large chillers (minimum 10 days) to make them exceptionally tender, adding all the natural flavours that this type of production depends on.
White turkey’s are the traditional option in Britain for Christmas dinner and have a more delicate taste than the newly popular Kelly Bronze Birds. This variety of turkey is the most familiar to us and characteristically has a broader breast than the bronze.
