A salty sea-side treat - Marsh Samphire

12 July 2017

This week we have the first Marsh Samphire in, a wonderful wild summer seaside veg that is harvested just in July. It is small stems, like a baby cactus (but no spikes) and has a salty seaside taste.

You can eat it raw, a lovely lighter alternative to crisps or nuts, or add it dishes (no need to add salt then), and you will certainly taste seaside saltiness - its lovely.
