Kohlrabi - what to do with it

02 October 2013
Kohlrabi is a strange little veg that many people don’t know what to do with. Also known as a German Turnip this low, stout, cultivar of cabbage is really delicious and can be cooked in a number of different ways.

They can be eaten raw or cooked and have a similar taste to broccoli stems. Traditionally they are often used in Indian dishes, but they also taste great raw and sliced and sprinkled on an Autumnal salad.

When chopped, steamed and drizzled with melted butter, Kohlrabi acts as a great side dish to grilled meat or fish especially. We highly recommend that you give them a go.
