Interesting Seasonal Fish range this week!
12 February 2014
We have a couple of interesting, and great value, fish cuts this week:
1, We have a good sized Tope shark caught this week - reckoned by Dylan at Kernow Sashimi to be far superior to smooth hound, and, we are offering them in 440g prime steak slices, ideal for 2 people - advice from Dylan's wife is to season, and bake for 25 minutes - very similar to swordfish, but much more sustainable as you are doing your bit by enjoying a species that is usually discarded.
2, Fresh Pollock Chitterlings - as highly recommended by chef Paul Weeden and cooked like this, a real seasonal treat (taken from the male pollock fish) - simply roll in flour, pan fry, and service with a nice spicy winter salad and lemon. And at 339p for a 400g pack, you can hardly go wrong....

We also have:
Dover Sole (Small)
Dover Sole (larger)
Pollock
Pouting
Whiting
Smooth Hound
Grey Mullet
