Pastizzi are one of Malta’s most loved street foods. Walk through almost any Maltese town and you’ll find little hole-in-the-wall pastizzerias, where locals stop for these delicious savoury pastries.
Traditionally filled with ricotta or piżelli — a spiced mushy-pea filling — pastizzi are made from an incredibly delicate, flaky pastry that takes hours to prepare.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-heat oven to 230°C. Place frozen pastizzi on a baking tray and cook for 25-30mins until golden brown.
