Forgive us for finding many uses for pheasants, but they are both really good value ad extremely flavoursome - at this time of the year, it is well worth taking advantage of them!
We have two new recipe boxes this week for pheasant: a quick cooking, serves two, of pheasants breasts with apple & parsnnip mash and kale - £3 per portion. and combining may lovely autunmal flavours of root veg, greens, apple and game.
And then we have a serves 4 Pheasant & Coconut Curry, under £2.50 per portion, so excellent value - a slow oooked baked curry, that just needsstome rice and steamed greens to accompany it. I find pheasant works very well in this way, its stronger flavours complementig the curry spices.
