First Partridge in - the perfectly romantic meal for 2

It is when the first partridge start coming in that you start to feel that the Game Season is taking off - it is such a lovely bird to cook - lighter than a woodpigeon, much closer to a pheasant - bags of flavour - just a quick 35 minutes in the oven at a good heat and it will be done.
