Strawberries are the A-listers of the summer fruits and they often hog the limelight.
Gooseberries seem to have been somewhat forgotten and fail to be treated with the same star-quality as other fruits. We think this is a criminal state of affairs. There is so much to enjoy in the gooseberry. Few summer fruits rival the gooseberry when it comes to complexity, depth and zesty oomph. Ours come from Cammas Hall in Hertfordshire.
