Courgette Flowers - The Gardeners Privilege
02 July 2013
Something you never see in the supermarket - courgette flowers are usually a privilege reserved only for the home gardener. Sweet and delicate, the flowers are usually stuffed with ricotta and herbs, before being deep fried in a tempura batter (this was the recipe)I used.
Our flowers are hand picked by Rita at Wild Fields and they are picked at the last minute on a Friday to ensure they are as fresh as possible. When you getthem home, seal them in a bag and place in the fridge, this way they won't wilt.
