Apple Season Begins - First Discovery & Grenadiers

We have the first of the apples this week from Jacobs Farm, Essex. Two varieties will be available this week: Big Grenadier cooking apples and crisp, red discovery eaters. The first apples of the new season are always a real treat and are a world away from the bland imported varieties found in supermarkets. It's times like these that seasonal eating is so rewarding. There is so much more pleasure in an English apple that you have waited all year for!
