We really believe that Game meat is highly underrated and underused for such flavoursome produce. We have an excellent range of game meats available at Farm Direct and we really want to encourage our customers to try it more.

It has come to be quite the talking point for many chefs recently in the height of game season, including local resident Nigel Slater who highly promotes the cooking of game and advised in The Guardian this week that the secret to this meat is to use it wisely to get more than a meal out of each little bird.

Our range comes from Ben Rigby Game in Essex, who started dealing in 1979 aged just 17! He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise and supplies us with fantastic quality meats including partridge, pheasant, venison and wood pigeon.Game birds especially are neat, lean and oven ready and not as complicated to cook as one might expect.
