We have a new apple to add to our lovely range called the Ida Red.
Ida Reds were developed in Idaho and are a cross between the ‘Jonathan’ and‘Wagener’ apple. They are sweetly tart, juicy and have a firm pale flesh that is often tinted rosy pink!
As they hold their shape so well, the are ideal for baking. They also make a lovely pink apple sauce. If you cook them with the skins on, you can strain them to achieve a lovely pink juice!
Apples are still in great supply for us and we have a new addition called the Ida Red. Our full range includes the classic Cox, delicious Red Pippin and Darcy Spice.
