Raw Milk - your chance to support

24 March 2014

A petition is being gathered to support the continued sale of raw milk.

Why?

Because the Food Standards Agency is reviewing the current legislation regarding the restrictions surrounding the sale of raw milk (which are considered outdated) with a view to making recommendations to government.

Historically, the FSA has been against the sale of raw milk, and hence the petition is being run to try and demonstrate support for its continued sale.

You can learn more about this issue by clicking on this link.

This is an issue quite close to Farm Direct’s heart because Dave & Rosie Paull of Hurdlebrook Farm have been part of our service ever since we started, supplying us with yoghurt and cream, and more recently many of you with raw milk.

Three things you can do:

1, you can sign the raw milk petition here.

2, you can attend the FSA organised raw milk consultation event next Monday 31st March at Russell Square (http://www.food.gov.uk/news-updates/news/2014/mar/raw-milk#.UzBbPs6t8lJ)

3, you can support Dave & Rosie either by buying their lovely creams, yoghurt, and milk. Please note, in order to buy their milk, you do need to drop Dave a text (07793836 609) or email him (info@hurdlebrook.co.uk)and your milk will be added to your farm direct order.

We hope you support,

Thanks!

Robert.

raw milk
Destroying the health giving qualities of milk in the process of pasteurisation is so obviously not a good idea. Lactose intolerance is very common and quite possibly could be eliminated by whole, raw milk being provided - from well-treated healthy cows of course.
