But on a brighter note, we have the first of the currants - red, white & black, these have really come on in the recent warm spell and of course have a much more concentrated flavour than the soft fruit we have so far enjoyed.
Blueberries are also new in this week. Its likely to be the last week of the gooseberries - they freeze extremely well, so please do stock up if you want them....!
