The arrival of the first white cabbages for us seasonal nerds raises the curtain on the coleslaw season. Its a slight anomaly, coleslaw being a pretty generic term for any shredded salad (whatever the ingredient), but white cabbage is often at the heart of any coleslaw recipe.
We do have a simple coleslaw box, that provides you with a range of veggies ideal for using in a coleslaw, but we havent provided a recipe card.
The reason for this - is that you pretty much shred whatever veggies (or apples or pears) you want, and you can dress it in whatever dressing you want (yoghurt, cream, or vinaigrette).
However you enjoy it, coleslaw is a good thing because you are eating those veggie raw, and so getting the full goodness....! And how else would you get kids to eat raw cabbage?
